Gear box

Gear box assemblies live or die on bearing fit and gear mesh, not just on the housing itself. TR Manufacturing  machines the housing parts, then assembles gears, shafts and bearings into complete gear boxes. Housings with machined bearing bores and sealed mating faces; bores are machined in one setting so shafts stay aligned. Gears, shafts, bearings and seals are assembled with controlled press fits, and shims are selected so gear backlash is within your specification. Assembled gear boxes are run in at the seams, with noise and torque checked on samples. Send your gear box drawing or 3D file - we will quote castings, machining and assembly as one price.
